Dear Geetanjali:
Congratulations on earning your MBA in HR plus your years of experience. You may want to sit for the Society for Human Resources PHR (Professional in Human Resources) examination. Another option if you are interested in compensation is to explore the World at Work compensation courses and the CCP certification. Or, if your interest is in benefits explore the CBES certification.
If recruiting is your strength a desireable strategy is to secure contract recruiting positions, especially in technology, and build your resume at strong companies with long term recruiting contracts. In this way you get a lot of experience and exposure to "best practices" in recruiting and employment.
